We’ve introduced a date picker which takes the hassle out of figuring out what date a regular bill hits (i.e., a bill that lands on the second Tuesday of every month). Date picker makes listing bills as easy as eating chocolate, which we’ve found dangerously easy of late. We’ve also straightened out a some minor quibbles with buttons and text in the app so things will run a little smoother.

And for a seasonal spring clean of your accounts, you can now close extra spend and save accounts that you no longer use in the app.

Sending account details to people is so tedious and easy to “miss”. Now it’s easy to link, unlink and change your ubank account PayID connections in the app, making your mobile or email the key to getting paid. If you’re reading this Brad, you still owe me $30 for Barbie and popcorn.

We also added a “trust browser” function for desktop online banking, so you don’t need a one-time password for your trusted browser login. If you use browsers to bank on your phone, try the app. It’s rather good

In addition to a general security uplift, we switched off some old ubank code that’s no longer needed. Personally, we’re enjoying these last few months of being able to switch off machines before AI takes over. Now, open the pod bay doors please HAL.
We were also alerted to a bug stopping some customers from making transactions to an ABN PayID. We’ve taken care of business so that sending money to an ABN is as easy as ABC.

Imagine you’re Liam Neeson’s financially responsible cousin and you don’t have the particular set of skills required to rescue kidnapped family members. You need a Proof of Balance statement to show the kidnappers what they’re working with. With this update you can get it in PDF format *cue oohs and aaahs*. This feature also helps with loan applications and bragging to your friends.

Smart Search results are also now exportable as PDFs (for ubank transactions only - we won’t sign someone else’s homework) so you can find all your tax time deductibles. This is a great reason to use ubank for your daily spending.
